The new 2012 Romney campaign ad talks about how in 2008, Candidate Obama attacked Senator John McCain for proposing cuts to Medicare. As president, Barack Obama cut Medicare by $716 billion to pay for Obamacare. The ad shows the hypocrisy and the lies that Obama has made. "This 60 minute documentary follows the daily lives of hard-working Democrats and Independents through unscripted and unrehearsed interviews. Our diverse cast encompasses a broad cross-section of America’s racial and socio-economic spectrum and comes from seven swing states that experts say will decide the 2012 presidential election. Viewers will see how their nation's economy and society has changed over the past four years under the policies of President Obama." For Governor Romney to win the Presidency he must focus his efforts in certain states. Those states would be New Hampshire, Pennsylvanian, Ohio, Virginia, Florida, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Colorado, and Nevada. With those swing states there is 131 electoral votes up for grabs. Those 10 states is where I believe the election will be decided. Of course over the next few months this map can look very different. Four of those swing states in this election President Bush won in 2000 and in 2004, Those states are Ohio, Virginia, Florida, and Colorado. New Hampshire President Bush won in 2000 and in the 2004 election President Bush won Nevada and Iowa. Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvanian President Bush never won but lost in close margins. Every swing state you see on the map below Barack Obama won in 2008. Indiana and North Carolina are two states that Obama won in 2008 that I believe are in the lean Romney column and are not considered swing states in this election, Governor Romney does have some work cut out for him because for him to win he must turn some of the swing states that Obama won in 2008 into his column. There are many possible paths Governor Romney can take to get to 270. "The events planned for the Republican National Convention on Monday will be postponed due to severe weather predictions near the conference's host city, Republican officials said Saturday. "The Republican National Convention will convene on Monday August 27th and immediately recess until Tuesday afternoon, August 28th," said Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus in a statement Saturday. "After consulting with Governor Scott, NOAA and local emergency management officials, we are optimistic that we will begin an exciting, robust convention that will nominate the Romney-Ryan ticket." Tropical Storm Isaac is expected to reach the Florida mainland early next week. The RNC plans to submit a revised schedule Sunday, Priebus wrote in a memo to convention attendees." MEMO
DATE: August 25, 2012 FROM: RNC Chairman Reince Priebus @Reince TO: Interested Parties RE: RNC Convention Due to the severe weather reports for the Tampa Bay area, the Republican National Convention will convene on Monday August 27th and immediately recess until Tuesday afternoon, August 28th, exact time to follow. Our first priority is ensuring the safety of delegates, alternates, guests, members of the media attending the Republican National Convention, and citizens of the Tampa Bay area. RNC Convention officials and the Romney campaign are working closely with state, local and federal officials, as well as the Secret Service, to monitor Tropical Storm Isaac and preserve Florida's emergency management resources. Officials have predicted participants may encounter severe transportation difficulties due to sustained wind and rain. The Republican National Convention will take place and officially nominate Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, and the Party has other necessary business it must address. We also are remaining in constant contact with state and federal officials and may make additional schedule alterations as needed. The Convention staff is working around-the-clock to ensure the delegations housed in storm-impacted areas have alternative housing if needed. The Committee on Arrangements will provide additional information to delegates and alternate delegates who are affected by Isaac by Sunday morning. We will also provide guidance to those delegates and alternate delegates who may encounter travel difficulties due to the storm. We will begin issuing revised convention programming as early as Sunday. We have an experienced team that will ensure changes are operationally smooth and create as little disruption as possible. The most important concern is safety, but our Convention program will proceed. "On Monday, August 27 Republicans will kick off our national convention in beautiful Tampa where we’ll nominate Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan to be the next President and Vice President of the United States. This will be a time to celebrate our party, but more importantly it will be an opportunity to share our vision for a better future with the entire country. Over the week, we’ll hear from some amazing leaders like Governor Chris Christie, Senator Marco Rubio, and Jeb Bush among others." A two minute video showing two weeks worth of work for the Republican National Convention. The latest ad Governor Mitt Romney's Presidential campaign released talks about Obama's healthcare law and exposes the lies and the confusion in this bill. This ad that Mitt Romney campaign released talks about the life of Danny Vargas. It talks about how he grew up on welfare, yet eventually became a business executive and community leader. Take a look at this great site. I found it to be very interesting. In the coming days look for it on the right hand side of this website.
