Ben Carson's Campaign Manager And Communications Director Quit

Ben Carson's 2016 Presidential campaign just lost two of its top staff members. Ben Carson's now former communications director, Doug Watts, told Business Insider he and Carson's campaign manager Barry Bennett had left the campaign.

Business Insider posted the following in their article.

Meanwhile, The Washington Post's Robert Costa spoke with Bennett, who said his "frustration level has peaked with Dr. Carson's outside advisers."
"Lots of other people are resigning," Bennett told The Post.

Its been announced that Bob Dees will become the the new campaign chairman. Ed Brookover will be promoted from senior adviser to campaign manager.

Dr. Ben Carson has an incredible background, with phenomenal success as a brilliant neurosurgeon. In addition to his earned doctorate or doctorates, many leading universities, and some not as well known, have credited his achievements with up to approximately 50 deserving doctorates.

Dr. Carson has been noted as a man of integrity and honor, and no one can question that honor, despite his blunders. However, in his desire to present an acceptable face to the nation, Dr. Carson compromised personal conviction for what he perceived to be pleasing to Americans, and presumably will offer access to popular vote. In so doing, Dr. Carson made a major blunder in personal representation, on one hand, and a very naive assessment of the American people, on the other hand.

This is not irreparable in America, based on the ability of Americans to honor the good in intent, and forgive non-damaging blunders that do not compromise the intent (sometimes even forgiving the damaging when the will is committed to doing what is right).

Dr. Ben Carson needs to re-discover and live with boldness the integrity, courage and strength that characterized his life.

Dr. Carson needs to own the issues that came with being "born in sin", in order to stand by the conviction of spiritual transformation in his life through the power of the God He knows transformed his life.

Dr. Carson needs to revive the integrity of his convictions, in honoring with gratitude and faithfulness those who blessed his life; in honoring with gratitude and faithfulness the God who He believes gave the blessings of body and health, time for work and rest, and responsibility of care for people and nature.

Dr. Carson needs to request the forgiveness of the American people for compromising what constitutes his spiritual integrity, and be forthright in demonstrating the strength of conviction and integrity that contributed to the major accomplishments of His previous profession, and holds potential for buttressing strength and brilliance in serving the people of America.

Dr. Carson needs break out of his current fragile cocoon of fear of rejection and failure, and understand that he, more than anyone else on the current plain of American hopefuls for President, can present the combined strengths of care, wisdom, integrity, hopefulness, justice, equity, protection and providing for the American people.

Dr. Carson needs to grasp the fact that the same ability, drive and priority he brought to vigorous research, the same brilliance in assessment, the same grasp of utilizing a powerful and thorough team, and the same genius and courage that saved the lives of children, can be brought to leading the American nation.

The American people deserves to see the best of the best. At this very time, the American people are restricted to settling for certain individuals of questionable intent in serving self or others, questionable treatment of persons with respect and dignity, questionable responsibility to and for all peoples, questionable ability for skilled assessments, and questionable discernment in perceiving and persistently pursuing desired outcomes.

One only needs to measure each presidential hopeful by these basic principles/yardsticks of excellence to discern how bankrupt America has been, and threatens to continue to be, because leaders of our past, current, and potential do not hold the good of the American people and the good of all peoples as the magnet standard of service. Great Presidents who served these United States of America displayed certain unassailable characteristics, which America deserves to again.

As for Dr. Ben Carson, if he rediscovers his heart, his brain, his hands and his feet, he potentially can offer Americans, and the world, a new (but old) standard of courage, strength, integrity and care. Lots of American history of great successes and debilitating failures, including distant past and current lived, and lots of brilliant minds and principled hearts to gather around the table, can offer a landscape that can successfully get this patient out of the surgical suite, and back to successful daily living.

We shall see if Dr. Ben Carson is up to it.

The general thought is that Carson dipped to a non-factor when he showed limited knowledge of foreign policy. If you think this, you miscalculate the basic premise on which President Obama won twice. Assessment consequently documented by several experts I can show written during Obama's first primary.

Carson's decline began when credibility issues (primarily trust) alienated Evangelicals, and continued..... Two issues: 1) Apparent "lying" about his history. 2) A Sabbath keeping Christian breaking his Sabbath commitment. The second was overlooked, even by many in his own church, until the first showed up. It was not only Evangelicals he lost; and it was not only religio-social issues implicated.

Interestingly, Trump can blatantly lie, abuse women and men, distort, demonstrate poor skills in assessment and resolution, and speak racist,etc, but still keep climbing in popularity. Why? Trump is not judged based on his morals, decency nor respect, but by his grit to stun as a street fighter or an ugly pro wrestler.

Carson and others of his kind will be given a pass on qualifications based on trust; but when trust erodes, their world of political dreams will crumble in 9/11 ashes. Carson has no chance except what trust allows.

I am saying that he still has a chance, but he has to recoup trust with honest, and he is now required additionally to parlance his skills in research, assessment and determined strength, using the language of politics, in order to secure any footing for a possible surge.

Your call, whoever you are, in raising these issues with him. But you may just be a blog guide, a pigmie 10 steps down, with no ability to influence. So be it. He can go only as far as he allows. He already lost 20 faithful because he has no traction, and don't know who has a answer for him.
