Unlike most of the other Presidential elections, 2016 has no clear establishment front runner in the Republican Primary. In all the recent polls there is basically a tie between Senator Rand Paul, Former Governor Jeb Bush, Governor Chris Christie, and Congressman Paul Ryan. The other candidates in the polls are also not that far behind. That now leaves the party with a mission to try to find that front runner. Where do they turn to? Well that answer may surprise you, Mitt Romney. Renewed interest in Romney may have begun with the Sundance Film Festival’s screening last January of “Mitt,” a sympathetic documentary that showed a much more human and introspective man than was seen during the campaign. Then, last week, Romney hosted a GOP summit and retreat in Park City, Utah, to help political leaders and conservative thinkers carve a winning path to the 2016 presidential election and beyond. He is backed by the Tea Party. Congressman Kevin McCarthy was elected in 2007 from California's 23rd district. McCarthy is also the House Majority Whip. Which is the 3rd ranked leadership position in the House of Representatives. Its rather unlikely that Raul Labrador gets elected as the House Majority Leader. The day after Majority Leader Eric Cantor lost in a primary, Kevin McCarthy was working to gather up votes from House Republicans.
