Hillary Clinton | Election 2016 ShowdownThe Bush family and the Clinton family both have a long and decorative political history in America. From 1981 - 2013 there was always a member of the Bush family or a member of the Clinton family involved in the federal government. | Jeb Bush |
- George H.W. Bush (Vice President 1981-1989)
- George H.W. Bush (President 1989-1993)
- Bill Clinton (President 1993-2001)
- Hillary Clinton (NY Senator 2001-2009)
- George W. Bush (President 2001-2009)
- Hillary Clinton (Secretary of State 2009-2013)
The first time these two political family's clashed was in the 1992 President Election when Bill Clinton defeated George H.W. Bush. Since then it seems the tension between the family have disappeared, at least from the public eye. A rematch between these two family's is not so far out of reach. Both Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush have openly stated that they are considering a run for President 2016. Hillary is more likely to run than Jeb Bush, and if Hillary was to run she would probably win the Democratic nomination. As for Jeb, if he was too run he would be considered a front runner for the GOP nomination, but there is no way to tell if he would win the nomination.
The 2016 election would probably be the most expensive and brutal election in American history. You would have two very power political family's fighting for one office that both family's held in the past.
If this rematch was to happen it would clearly show America's political system has a problem since out of the last four Presidents two were Bush's and one was a Clinton.
